Water Leak Prevention and Detection

As homeowners  it is our resposibilty  to help prevent water leaks and water damage to our homes. Although this may not always be possible we can help reduse the risks. Water damage comes from a variety or sources. Some of these sources are Water heaters,sump pumps,frozen pipes,cracked foundations and worn appliances to name a few.

The follwing are some precautions that can be taken to reduse the risk of water damage.

1. Check and replace appliance hoses when needed ( Washer, Dishwasher, Ice maker, Ect).
2. Insulate pipes on exterior walls to prevent freezing.
3. Keep Roof gutters clean and free of debris
4. Seal foundation walls to prevent seepage and water intrusion.
5.  Properly Maintain roof to prevent leaking.
6. Install Leak detectors throughout your home.
