Sewage Loss

This is a residential sewage loss that affected a  basement bathroom in Levittown N.Y. The homeowner unknowingly had tree roots growing into the waste line on the outside of the house. The roots caused sewage to backup into the basement bathroom leaving the homeowner with a very big mess. SERVPRO of Farmingdale/Massapequa was called in to mitigate the damages. The emergency service crew responded within an hour.  The water techs donded personal protective equipment and got to work. The unaffected areas of the home were protected  to avoid any further damage and the damaged areas were cleaned and disinfected. The crew then validated and installed the required amount of drying equipment and explained to the homeowner how it works. Within 4 hours the basement was on its way to being back to normal. Another job well done.
