Oil Spill Clean-up - Long Island, NY

SERVPRO of Farmingdale / Massapequa was called in to clean- up after the home owners oil tank ruptured.

After the oil tank split the homes heat went out causing the pipes to freeze. We were faced with 2 feet of oil contaminated water in the unfinished basement. To make things worse the basement was full of storage and contents. We utilized oil absorbing materials and special environmental containers to dispose of the contents and debris. The oil was absorbed and the water was extracted. All affected material were properly disposed of. The other areas of the home were cleaned and deodorized to eliminate the oil smell. This all had to be done in a timely fashion to eliminate the possibility of ground contamination outside of the home.

In the end we were able to make it "Like it never even happened."
