Storm damaged basement

Storm damage can be devastating. SERVPRO of Farmingdale/Massapequa was called in to mitigate storm damage after a recent nor'easter. The homeowner had just refinished their basement due to hurricane damage 2 years prior. Upon our arrival we found 6 " of standing water. Once the water was pumped out we were able to start the demolition process. All unaffected areas of the home were covered and protected from secondary damage. Drying equipment was validated and installed. After the drying process was complete the restoration project began. The entire restoration project lasted around 6 weeks. In the end the homeowner was happy to be done with their 2nd new basement in 2 years.
