East Willinston, Long Island Frozen pipe affects finished basement
During a very frigid week, in East Williston, this basement flooded due to a frozen pipe in the utility room. The water spread through the entire basement causing damage to the structure and contents. SERVPRO of Farmingdale / Massapequa was able to respond within 2 hours of the loss and minimize the damage. Heavy extraction, carpet/pad and base trim removal were needed in order to place drying equipment and save all of the walls without removal. Timing is extremely important when dealing with water damage situations. We were able to minimize the repair portion because of our knowledge on the drying process and rapid response time. The basement was back in full use within 2 weeks.
