Exterior house fire
This was an exterior house fire on Long Island. The fire started on the side of the house by an unknown source. Fire caused extensive damage to the vinyl siding and the cedar shake as well. There was also smoke and odor damage throughout the homes interior. The charred debris was removed from the exterior and discarded. The exterior was covered in plastic until the adjuster could survey the damage. SERVPRO spent the better portion of a week cleaning and deodorizing the homes interior. Insulation in the attic and the exterior walls was removed to help eliminate the fire odor. In the end the home was put back to its pre existing condition and everyone was glad that no one was hurt.
